About

I enjoy traveling, cycling, and photographing everything that surrounds me. Willflies has been my hobby since 2020 when I started building the site to just learn something new. I’m continually striving to improve it as I get to know new things. Most of my travels are done during summer, and my camera is the one thing I never forget to pack.
Hi! I am Vilém 🙋♂️
Where I’ve been 🌍
My mission 🎯
Internet is already full of travel blogs with plenty of text so I want to do things differently. I aim at showing you destinations in a unique way with my own photos so that you can actually see everything and get inspired for your next trip.
My posts contain pictures of the most interesting landmarks at a destination so that you can take it as sort of a visual guide of what not to miss when visitng it. Or if you just want a tip on where to go next or to travel across Europe from the comfort of your home, Willflies has you covered.

What makes it unique 💎
I like to keep this project truly mine. Started building Willflies back in 2019 from scratch with zero coding knowledge and I’ve been slowly adding new features as I learn new things. Regarding imagery, all photos published here are my own and in my posts I never include anything from the internet. I also create all maps and other visuals. The only exception are animated icons and three other graphics that were purchased.
Willflies is my hobby and I like to keep it this way. That means you don’t find any adverts or sponsored links on the site as it is not monetized in any way.
And about the project itself, big thanks go to my brother David who assisted me when I got stuck coding and also helped create the Willflies App.
My photo gear 📸
For all photos I use a Nikon D3200 DSLR camera together with a Nikon 18-105 mm f/3,5-5,6 G ED lens. For night shots, this setup is often supported by a Vanguard Alta CA 203AP tripod.
