Away From Crowds

Veslaška Promenade

The eastern part of the lake, where the city of Bled is situated, is usually a bit busy. Walking towards the western side not only rewards you with fewer tourists but also great nature. The iconic church often pops out among tree branches.

Bled Castle

Standing above the water for more than a thousand years, Bled Castle is the oldest castle in Slovenia. Its charming courtyards invite visitors to sit down for a cake and to climb the walls for nice panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Within Your Reach

Ojstrica

Climbing atop of the hill may be exhausting, but is definitely worth it. After around 20 minutes of struggling with terrain, you stand on a 611-metre peak called Ojstrica. The entire lake lies on your palm. From there, you can continue even higher to Osojnica.
