Icy Air On The Top Of Europe At

Jungfraujoch

Would you like to experience snow no matter the season? Then, you shouldn’t miss Jungfraujoch, Bernese Oberland in your Swiss trip itinerary. The mountain saddle situated among 4,000-meter peaks can be easily accessed by train which makes it the highest-altitude train station in Europe.

Willflies, Willflies. Glancing from a window, you can enjoy splendid views as the train leaves green valley behind and nature turns rockier. With 2 changes and stop in a tunnel, you get to the top in less than 2 hours. The viewing platform at Sphinx Observatory is situated between Jungfrau and Mönch mountain peaks and offers splendid views at the valleys to the north and the Aletsch Glacier to the south. Inside, I recommend enjoying a cup of true Swiss hot chocolate. With 23 kilometers in length, the Aletsch Glacier is the largest glacier in the Alps. Together with other smaller ones, it’s part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch area written on the UNESCO list. Ice Palace

Another great way to spend your time at Jungfraujoch, especially with kids, is by visiting a frozen world. Sliding through long tunnels of mirroring ice, you meet eagles, penguins or even bears appearing almost natural.
